About Us
Our Clinic
Welcome to Tofield Eyecare. We cater to patients from Tofield, Beaver County, Ryley, Holden, Viking, Round Hill, Lindbrook, Camrose, and anywhere else!

Dr. Marc Kallal, Dr. Tiffany Lim and Dr Jeanette Trac are here for all of your vision needs and welcome patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. We can also help with hard-to-fit contact lenses, eye emergencies (covered by Alberta Healthcare), and work closely with specialists to manage eye diseases and eye surgeries including LASIK.

Dr. Marc Kallal, Dr. Tiffany Lim and Dr Jeanette Trac believe in early diagnosis and are dedicated to bringing the latest technology in eye care to Tofield. Our office is equipped with a retinal camera, computerized visual field testing and optical coherence tomography (OCT) - it's like an x-ray for your eye! This technology allows us to manage and monitor your eye health and allows us to detect diseases sooner. If a referral to a specialist is needed, we will work closely with the ophthalmology community in Edmonton and can arrange for a prompt referral.
We offer many brands of eye wear so that you can be comfortable and confident in your glasses and see your best. We provide direct billing for your convenience and want nothing more than for you to love your new glasses and see the world how it is meant to be seen.
Our Optometrists
DR. MARC KALLAL
DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY
Dr. Kallal is very excited to be practicing in Tofield where he grew up and graduated high school (the days before Tofield had a Subway!). Dr. Kallal did his undergraduate studies at the UofA and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry.
Graduating in 2013, Dr. Kallal moved back to Alberta and joined a large group practice in Ponoka and became managing optometrist at Varsity Optical in Edmonton (www.varsityoptical.com).
In Ponoka, Dr. Kallal saw patients of all ages and worked closely with the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury, one of the leading brain injury rehabilitation hospitals in western Canada. Dr. Kallal worked with patients who had complex vision issues after suffering various forms of brain injuries, including concussions, strokes, brain tumors, and severe traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Working with these patients allowed Dr. Kallal to further develop his skills and knowledge, which allows him to handle complex cases and provide his patients with the best vision possible.

Dr Kallal will tell you it was always his plan to open an eye clinic in Tofield. In July of 2017 that dream became a reality. He is truly grateful for all the support from everyone in and around the community and looks forward to providing eye care to the area for decades to come.

Dr Kallal and his wife Katherine, welcomed their daughter Rory in August of 2019 and Ileana in February 2022. When not at the office you can find Dr Kallal at the Tofield Golf Course helping his dad Vern or spending time with his family and friends.
